Independent certification and training decisions

CompTIA certifications: choose support, networking, cloud, security or data work

Start from a practical task or written requirement. Compare vendor-neutral skills, recommended experience, current exam versions and training support without assuming every badge is a mandatory step.

Choose by work, not badge count

Which CompTIA route fits your requirement?

Evaluate advanced data-science models

DataAI DY0-001 targets experienced work; five years is recommended, not a required employment gate. Compare instruction plus practice with guided labs, scoped US product bases and a model-validation exercise.

DataAI advanced learning and work-case guide

Explore basic IT before choosing a badge

Tech+ introduces computing, software, data and security. Compare live versus self-paced help, optional voucher conditions and standard versus CE validity. It is not a mandatory prerequisite before A+.

Tech+ foundations and training guide

Build support and networking foundations

Compare A+ support tasks with Network+ networking tasks. Practice troubleshooting before choosing a class; a recommended earlier credential is not automatically an exam-registration prerequisite.

Network+ decision guide

Deploy and operate cloud workloads

Cloud+ CV0-004 covers architecture, deployment, operations, security, DevOps and troubleshooting. Compare free scope, distinct CertMaster products and a migration/recovery exercise; a historical exam price is not current checkout.

Cloud+ operations and training guide

Defend a hybrid-network architecture

CloudNetX CNX-001 targets experienced architects, not a mandatory next step after Cloud+. Ten years in IT including five in network architecture is issuer preparation advice, not a compulsory badge ladder. Compare connectivity, policy, monitoring and recovery support.

Coordinate a technology project

Project+ covers scope, schedules, risks and stakeholder communication. Compare self-paced course access and current CE renewal; occupational pay is not a credential premium.

Project+ training, roles and renewal

Turn data into a defensible decision

Data+ focuses on preparing, analyzing, reporting and governing data. It is not proof of advanced data science or database-administration proficiency. Use a public or synthetic work sample to find the gap training could close.

Data+ decision guide

Operate a database, not just analyze its data

DataSys+ covers deployment, maintenance, security and recovery. Choose the exam version before purchasing courseware: an announced successor is not a confirmed appointment, and a backup job is not a restoration test.

Test practical readiness with the guide’s tasks and original assessment where available. Recommended experience, formal eligibility and a requirement owner’s approval are different questions. Neither a score nor course completion guarantees passing or employment.

Browse the CompTIA guides available on Learnerside. Filter by subject, experience requirements, dated exam status and cost, renewal model, and official preparation.

14 published guides—not the vendor’s entire credential inventory. Each card carries its own observation dates; these do not verify every guide fact, a current training price or an available seat. Experience requirements and recommendations remain separate; neither predicts a pass rate or job outcome.

What should you verify before paying for CompTIA training?

For CompTIA training, request the exact exam code and dated outline, learner-operated performance tasks and feedback. CertMaster Learn, Perform, Practice and Labs are different products; neither a training partner designation nor a visible bundle establishes identical courseware, voucher eligibility or access. Verify the exact delivery entity and package.

Start with the official preparation linked from the credential guide. Free reading or videos do not establish that labs, practice exams or a voucher are included. Pay for structure, feedback, accessibility, a workable schedule or team support when those solve a real constraint.

Use a guide’s training comparison where available; no comparison link means Learnerside has not published one, not that training is unavailable. A dated price is not a quote and a published class is not a confirmed seat. Confirm time zone, modality, per-learner versus cohort price, taxes, voucher, retake, lab and recording access, cancellation and accessibility before purchase. Unknown extras are not zero.

Roles, skills and salary context

What does the credential show—and what does it not show?

Support, network operations, security and analysis are different work directions, not a required certification sequence. Match tasks and experience to an employer requirement. Course attendance and original learning-question scores do not establish permission for production work.

Where a guide supplies wage context, read the occupation, geography, reporting year and mapping limits. Occupational wages are not the salary of credential holders, a causal certification pay premium or an offer you should expect. If a reviewed role mapping or wage source is missing, the answer remains unknown.

Keep researching, get employer support or ask a short question

You can use these guides without contact. For an employer or team, start with the work outcome, current skills, schedule and delivery preference. An exact budget is not required to ask for help. A request permits Learnerside to reply; provider sharing requires separate consent naming the recipient.
