Choose CCNA instruction by the networking work you need

Choose the work you need to practise, your starting knowledge and the feedback you need. Compare public resources, self-paced learning and instructor support against that need. You can ask for help now; completing free study or independent labs is not a prerequisite.

Paying yourself

Choose useful support within your budget

Decide whether you need foundational instruction, guided practice or targeted feedback. If you can already diagnose your own mistakes, public resources may be enough for a gap. Check permission, access and any separate practice costs before using a lab.

Employer-funded or team training

Paid structure can make sense

A live course is easier to justify when work is paying, several people need the same schedule, a deadline matters, or instructor access and guided labs remove a real blocker. Define the seats, starting level, delivery format, and target date before asking for quotes.

Comparing the dated rows

Same price does not mean the same bundle

Both live options below were observed at the same public list price, but the bundles differ. ONLC states that an exam voucher and live labs are included. New Horizons lists official courseware, guided labs, three additional eLearning-lab days, 90-day recordings, CLC eligibility, and conditional retake/rescheduling, but does not list an exam voucher.

Recheck current price, schedule, seats, labs, voucher, support, and cancellation terms. A same-price listing is not an equivalent bundle.

Compare Cisco’s exam and lab outline with the two provider courses

What the published CCNA course outlines actually cover

Start with Cisco’s exam scope and official training outline, then compare each provider’s delivery, lab access and unresolved terms. Similar titles do not prove the same learning experience.

Official baseline

Exam scope: Cisco’s current 200-301 CCNA v1.1 exam covers network fundamentals, network access, IP connectivity, IP services, security fundamentals, and automation and programmability.

Training scope: Cisco’s official instructor-led outline covers IPv4/IPv6, switching, routing, VLANs, OSPF, ACLs, NAT, wireless, monitoring, device hardening, automation, and AI/ML in network operations. It also publishes a substantial hands-on lab list.

How to use it: Use the official outline as a baseline, not as proof that every provider teaches every item live. Ask which sections are instructor-led, self-study, demonstrated, or performed by you in a lab.

ONLC: outline fit

Course: Provider page code CSCCN1; the title says CCNA v2.2 while the body still says v2.1 and v2.0

Format and pace: Live online weekday instruction with separately identified recorded self-study sections.

Published coverage:

  • network fundamentals and addressing
  • switching, VLANs and routing
  • security and device management
  • automation concepts

Hands-on evidence: The page states hands-on labs and an included CCNA exam voucher.

Readiness evidence: Compare the pace with prior subnetting, TCP/IP, switching and troubleshooting experience.

Likely fit: A learner who already has networking foundations and can absorb a concentrated weekday schedule.

Archived provider calendar examples: These dates were observed when the source was checked; some have passed. They are not upcoming class cards, open seats, or a current quote. Use the training finder for its time-checked references, then verify dates and availability with the provider.

  • voucher issue and expiry conditions
  • Cisco-course cancellation and reschedule restrictions

ONLC CCNA course outline (checked September 12, 2026)

New Horizons: outline fit

Course: The provider URL labels the course v2.2; the visible heading is generic CCNA training

Format and pace: Five-day virtual instructor-led intensive course.

Published coverage:

  • network components and IP addressing
  • switching and routing configuration
  • wireless and security fundamentals
  • automation and programmability

Hands-on evidence: The page states guided labs, digital courseware, 90-day recordings and three additional days of eLearning lab access.

Readiness evidence: Published course eligibility is not the same as a good starting point; basic IP addressing and troubleshooting fluency materially affect a five-day pace.

Likely fit: A learner seeking live instruction plus a defined recording and lab-access window.

Archived provider calendar examples: These dates were observed when the source was checked; some have passed. They are not upcoming class cards, open seats, or a current quote. Use the training finder for its time-checked references, then verify dates and availability with the provider.

  • 2027-01-04 through 2027-01-08 · USD 4,195 published tuition · Etc/GMT+6. Provider labels this date Guaranteed to Run; that is not a seat-availability guarantee.

Verify before approval:

  • delivered course version
  • exam voucher inclusion
  • exact lab platform and individual access
  • when the three additional lab days start
  • seller and delivery entity
  • all-sales-final, reschedule and retake conditions

Evidence boundary: This comparison paraphrases public outlines; it does not republish a provider syllabus, verify a seat, or prove that every listed topic receives equal live instruction. A provider-issued proposal should identify the exact course version, schedule, delivery organization, inclusions and terms.

Cisco Certified Network Associate (exam 200-301) is a certification earned by passing its exam. Training is optional and separate — below is what providers publish to prepare you for it. No provider paid for placement or ordering here and none can; if you later ask us to introduce you to one, that introduction may earn us a fee, and it still cannot change a price, an ordering, or a word on this page.

Try the free route before you price the paid one

You may not need to buy a course at all. The page below collects the free and official study material published for Cisco Certified Network Associate, with the date each link was checked. Work through that first and see where you actually stop: if it gets you to the exam, the table further down is money you did not have to spend, and if it does not, you will know which specific gap you would be paying a provider to close.

Published training prices, by provider

Read the rows before you read the prices. These are not comparable offerings. Provider offerings can appear in the same table despite having different delivery modes because each row is a published price for preparing for the same exam, not because the offerings are the same product. Whether the exam fee is included and how long you keep access all differ — so the lowest number here is the cheapest listed price, and nothing more than that.

Every price in this table is published by the provider and captured on the date shown in 'As of'. Providers change list prices without notice, so treat an older reading as a starting point and confirm on the provider's own page before you budget. They are course-price observations; exam treatment varies by row. 'Exam' shows whether the provider states the exam fee is included in the price, is not, or says nothing either way, and 'Includes / access' summarizes what the provider states, with Learnerside's dated caveats about conditions and unknowns. Where a provider describes a course in PDUs, those are professional development units for maintaining a credential you already hold; they are not the same thing as the contact hours a certifying body may require before you can apply. Check the eligibility requirement on this page against what the provider actually says it delivers.

Turn published listings into a decision

The table is evidence, not a recommendation. Before choosing, verify every meeting date and time zone, current seat availability, the final total price, guided-lab hours and access period, voucher conditions, recordings or retakes, cancellation terms, current vendor authorization, Cisco Learning Credit eligibility, and whether the organization selling the course is also delivering it.

Published spread

Among the 2 ordinary-commercial price rows from 2 providers, the published training cost for Cisco Certified Network Associate at ordinary commercial rates ranges from $4,195 per course (New Horizons, Virtual instructor-led) to $4,195 per course (ONLC Training Centers, Instructor-led (live)). This is a published-price range, not a recommendation — delivery mode, exam inclusion, and what's bundled differ, so the numbers are not apples-to-apples.

Budget for the exam separately wherever 'Exam' shows exam fee not included. Where it shows not stated, the provider's page did not say either way — ask before you buy. This comparison includes only offerings whose price we verified on the linked provider page; quote-only offerings cannot be compared in the range above. See the training providers hub.

Deciding whether to pay

The question these prices answer is not whether to take Cisco Certified Network Associate — it is whether to pay someone to prepare you for it. That turns on something the table cannot tell you: whether you will actually finish without a schedule, whether you need an environment you cannot build yourself, and whether anyone else is paying. Work the free and official route first, because it is the baseline every price above has to beat, and the point where it stops being enough is the specific gap you would be buying. If you are weighing a structured course against studying on your own, bootcamp versus self-study works through that decision with the same published prices.
