Audit and controls learning can support work without buying an exam. Taking CISA and earning the credential are separate decisions: course completion does not create required work experience.
The public catalogue describes CISA Online Review Course 2024 as on-demand preparation with over 40 modules combining videos, text and interactive elements across five CISA domains, and describes a full year of access.

Choose self-paced instruction for flexibility or live teaching for a fixed timetable and instructor questions. Compare each format on its own terms: teaching time, audit exercises, feedback, practice access and the complete cost matter more than a tuition ratio.
Learning Tree lists an exam voucher; Global Knowledge excludes it. New Horizons and ISACA standalone-course voucher inclusion still need confirmation. ISACA’s exact product says six months of access while its catalog says one year: confirm the selected deadline before paying. Member pricing has separate membership costs, and the checked Learning Tree and Global Knowledge US terms require employer sponsorship.
A dated price or calendar does not establish your final total, access or a seat. Use free or internal audit practice when it meets the need; paid preparation and taking an exam are optional, and training cannot create the experience required to earn CISA.
4 dated options shown. Prices are in USD; check the date and package before using one in a budget.
Standalone self-paced course: public nonmember USD 895; eligible member display USD 795 plus membership fees, conditional on membership eligibility. More than 40 video/text/interactive modules, flashcards and a 75-question practice exam advertised; approximately 22 hours is publisher seat time, not personal completion/contact time. Exact product page says six months from purchase while the current catalog says a full year; selected access deadline remains conflicting. SKU LMS-CCA2024; confirm delivered revision. The manual and separate QAE database are recommended alongside, not listed as included; no exam voucher listed. Budget the exam separately until selected inclusion is confirmed. Personal access, tax, refund and final total unconfirmed.

Current exam domains and course-selection questions
Current exam scope
Use the five-domain outline that has applied since August 2024
The 150-question CISA exam covers Information Systems Auditing Process 18%, Governance and Management of IT 18%, Information Systems Acquisition, Development and Implementation 12%, Information Systems Operations and Business Resilience 26%, and Protection of Information Assets 26%.
A training outline should map to all five domains, but topic presence is only a starting point. Ask how much time learners spend planning audits, evaluating evidence, testing controls, reviewing implementation decisions, reasoning about resilience and communicating findings. Read the official CISA exam content outline.
Exam access versus credential eligibility
Check experience requirements before claiming CISA
ISACA allows anyone to take the CISA exam. The standard certification requirement is five years of professional information-systems auditing, control or security work experience. Verify any applicable experience-waiver path with ISACA; the public requirements reviewed here do not establish individual waiver rules. The experience must fall within the ten years before application, and the application must be made within five years after passing.
Historical exam, application and maintenance observations
When checked September 13, 2026, ISACA listed USD 575 for members and USD 760 for nonmembers, with a separate USD 50 certification-application fee. Membership has its own cost. Recheck current prices and any experience-waiver path before paying; a course does not create eligibility. Read the current certification requirements.
Holding CISA has ongoing obligations, separate from those exam and application charges. When checked October 1, 2026, ISACA required at least 20 continuing professional education (CPE) hours each year and 120 over three years, plus an annual maintenance fee of USD 45 for members or USD 85 for nonmembers. Membership, preparation, retakes and any paid CPE are additional costs, not included in that annual fee. Check the current CISA maintenance policy.
Optional public resources and quiz privacy
Optional public resources · checked September 29, 2026
Use public resources when they help your decision
You can use ISACA’s free five-domain exam outline. For each domain, explain an audit task you have performed or would practice: planning, collecting evidence, evaluating controls, testing an implementation, or reporting a finding. Mark the tasks you cannot yet explain. This is a self-check, not an exam-readiness score or proof of certification eligibility.
ISACA also offers a free CISA practice quiz. When checked, viewing results required your first and last name, email address, and agreement to ISACA’s privacy notice and terms; its marketing opt-in was separate and optional. You can use the official outline without taking that quiz or giving Learnerside contact details. The sample questions do not replace the full outline, hands-on audit work, or a complete preparation plan.
Consider paid instruction when you need guided audit cases, feedback on your reasoning, a protected timetable, accessibility support, or an employer-funded group baseline. Ask a provider to show the current five-domain mapping, learner-performed exercises, QAE access, voucher status, support period and full cost. Public resources and a work-based self-check are optional; a short request is available immediately.
Compare CISA and CISM
Credential choice
CISA and CISM lead with different work
Choose CISA when
The requirement centers audit planning, evidence, governance and controls, implementation assurance, operations, resilience and protection of information assets.
Choose CISM when
The requirement centers information-security governance, risk, program leadership and incident management, and you can document ISACA’s management-experience path.
Ask how the syllabus becomes learner-performed judgment
Course outlines are useful because they reveal version, sequence, omissions and package differences before a sales call. They do not reveal instructional depth by themselves. For CISA, request sample audit cases, the exact exercise set, learner-performed time, instructor feedback, QAE access, courseware revision and post-class access.
Historical provider observations and purchase conditions
CISA training: compare audit readiness, applied practice and the complete package
ISACA and New Horizons pages checked September 13, 2026; Learning Tree checked September 14. These are dated research observations, not confirmed seats, quotes or a provider ranking.
Compare audit readiness, the delivered outline and the complete training package
CISA is an audit, control and assurance credential. Separate permission to take the exam from the experience required for certification, then compare the current five-domain outline, applied audit practice, pace, schedule, seller, delivery organization, voucher and policies.
Official baseline
Exam scope: CISA uses 150 questions across five domains: Information Systems Auditing Process 18%, Governance and Management of IT 18%, Information Systems Acquisition, Development and Implementation 12%, Information Systems Operations and Business Resilience 26%, and Protection of Information Assets 26%. This outline has applied since August 2024.
Training scope: Training should identify the current five-domain outline and develop audit planning, evidence evaluation, governance and control judgment, implementation assurance, operations and resilience, and protection-of-information-assets decisions. A published topic list does not establish practice depth or feedback quality.
How to use it: Anyone may take the exam, but full CISA certification requires five years of professional information-systems auditing, control or security work experience. The experience must fall within the ten years before application, and the application must be made within five years after passing. Verify any waiver path against the current application rather than assuming a course creates eligibility.
Course: Course 2040, CISA training using official ISACA curriculum
Format and pace: Four live instructor-led days, online or in person. The checked page publishes 16 complete future references from October 2026 through September 2027; all enter matching and later dates are progressively disclosed.
Published coverage:
five current CISA domain families
official ISACA curriculum claim
exam voucher
after-course coaching
six months of course content and QAE access from redemption
Hands-on evidence: The page describes exercises and exam preparation but does not establish the exact learner-performed audit cases, evidence-review work, feedback criteria or time allocation.
Readiness evidence: The provider labels the course intermediate. Training and passing the exam do not establish ISACA's five-year certification-experience requirement.
Likely fit: An employer-sponsored learner who values an included voucher and coaching and can verify buyer eligibility, the exact calendar, current courseware, practice depth and voucher timing.
Archived provider calendar examples: These dates were observed when the source was checked; some have passed. They are not upcoming class cards, open seats, or a current quote. Use the training finder for its time-checked references, then verify dates and availability with the provider.

Hands-on evidence: The public outline names domain topics but does not establish an exact audit exercise set, QAE entitlement, lab environment, recordings or instructor-feedback model.
Readiness evidence: Use ISACA's five-year audit, control or security experience requirement as a separate certification test. Confirm whether the intensive pace suits the learner's actual audit and controls background.
Likely fit: A prepared learner who needs a fully dated five-day live calendar and can verify the seller or franchise, delivery entity, current ATO coverage, course revision and complete package.
Archived provider calendar examples: These dates were observed when the source was checked; some have passed. They are not upcoming class cards, open seats, or a current quote. Use the training finder for its time-checked references, then verify dates and availability with the provider.
2027-01-04 through 2027-01-08 · USD 3,250 published tuition · Etc/GMT+6. Provider labels the session Guaranteed to Run; that does not establish an available seat or immutable schedule.
Verify before approval:
legal seller or franchise and actual delivery organization
current ISACA ATO coverage, instructor, seat and five-domain courseware revision
voucher, QAE, exercises, recordings and post-class access
source time-zone meaning, tax, total, rescheduling and cancellation terms
Evidence boundary: This comparison paraphrases public outlines; it does not republish a provider syllabus, verify a seat, or prove that every listed topic receives equal live instruction. A provider-issued proposal should identify the exact course version, schedule, delivery organization, inclusions and terms.
Exam access and certification eligibility are different
Anyone may sit the CISA exam. The standard CISA award requirement is five years of professional information-systems auditing, control or security work experience under ISACA’s timing and application rules. Verify any applicable experience-waiver path with ISACA. A four- or five-day course can organize knowledge and practice; it cannot create that work history.
Use the course outline as a decision tool, not a topic checklist
Compare how each course develops audit planning, evidence evaluation, governance and control judgment, implementation assurance, operations and resilience, and protection-of-information-assets decisions. Ask for the exact exercise set, learner-performed time and feedback model. Topic presence alone does not show depth.
Learning Tree and New Horizons publish materially different packages
The September observation recorded a four-day USD 3,850 Learning Tree course with official ISACA curriculum, an exam voucher, coaching and six months of course-content and QAE access from redemption. The September observation recorded 16 complete future calendars from October 2026 through September 2027. The September observation recorded a USD 3,250 five-day New Horizons course and an exact January 4–8, 2027 virtual calendar, but does not establish a voucher, QAE access, exercise set, recordings, legal seller or delivery entity. Treat neither public listing as a complete quote.
Seventeen historical calendar observations support comparison questions
The 16 Learning Tree references and one New Horizons reference are specific enough for date and time-zone comparison. They are not reservations. Confirm seat, seller or franchise, delivering organization, current ISACA ATO coverage, instructor, course revision, buyer eligibility, inclusions, tax and cancellation terms before approval.
A short request is available immediately. Background, schedule, delivery, budget and the detailed planner are optional context. Use the research or draft a private employer brief without sending learner information to a provider.
