Databricks learning: data analysis, pipelines, GenAI or machine learning?
Choose the work gap: governed SQL and dashboards, Python/Spark processing, reliable data pipelines, retrieval and agent applications, model development or production MLOps. Match course entry knowledge, dated exam scope and permitted practice before choosing training.
Official directory link checked October 6, 2026. This hub covers published Learnerside guides, not every vendor credential. Exam and training observations retain the separate dates shown in each guide.
Validate SQL results, dashboards and Genie answers
Data Analyst Associate covers governed datasets, SQL queries, dashboards and Genie. The current eight-hour course expects working SQL and platform knowledge; translated courses do not establish translated exams.
Spark Developer covers DataFrames, distributed architecture, streaming and tuning. The sixteen-hour course expects basic Python and SQL, but no prior Spark or Databricks experience. The exact numeric exam runtime version remains unverified.
Associate has no prior credential requirement; six months of experience is recommended. Match named course prerequisites, ingestion, transformation and jobs and recovery practice to your baseline.
Professional requires no prior Associate; one year experience is recommended. The current exam runs through October 8; the new scope starts October 9. Conflicting current weights need clarification. Compare advanced privacy, performance and deployment practice.
Build and evaluate retrieval or agent applications
GenAI Engineer Associate separates March 2026 exam scope from four current agent modules. Compare retrieval, agent tools, answer evaluation and deployment. Renamed modules do not automatically establish complete exam coverage.
Prepare data, train and evaluate machine-learning models
ML Associate separates March 2025 exam scope from four current model-development modules. Intermediate Python and platform prerequisites differ from credential eligibility; a current course feature is not automatically an exam objective.
ML Professional recommends one year of hands-on experience without requiring Associate. Compare two advanced modules, administrator-permitted practice and controlled deployment. Current SQL wording and Python/ML preparation require date-specific clarification.
Test practical readiness with the guide’s tasks and original assessment where available. Recommended experience, formal eligibility and a requirement owner’s approval are different questions. Neither a score nor course completion guarantees passing or employment.

Browse the Databricks guides available on Learnerside. Filter by subject, experience requirements, dated exam status and cost, renewal model, and official preparation.
7 published guides—not the vendor’s entire credential inventory. Each card carries its own observation dates; these do not verify every guide fact, a current training price or an available seat. Experience requirements and recommendations remain separate; neither predicts a pass rate or job outcome.

What should you verify before paying for Databricks training?
Compare the exact named course or module with its entry requirements and work task. Analyst and Spark courses list eight and sixteen hours; ten current GenAI/ML module overviews list two hours each. Those module hours do not establish a combined instructor-led course duration. Academy loading shells do not prove personal lesson or lab access. Confirm revision, operated practice, reviewed feedback, actual cost and invoice, access expiry and seats. Free Edition has noncommercial and feature limits. Data Engineering Professional changes October 9; its current page and guide weights differ.
Start with the official preparation linked from the credential guide. Free reading or videos do not establish that labs, practice exams or a voucher are included. Pay for structure, feedback, accessibility, a workable schedule or team support when those solve a real constraint.
Use a guide’s training comparison where available; no comparison link means Learnerside has not published one, not that training is unavailable. A dated price is not a quote and a published class is not a confirmed seat. Confirm time zone, modality, per-learner versus cohort price, taxes, voucher, retake, lab and recording access, cancellation and accessibility before purchase. Unknown extras are not zero.
Roles, skills and salary context
What does the credential show—and what does it not show?
SQL validation, distributed processing, pipeline operation, retrieval/agent evaluation, model development and MLOps are different task associations. Show an original work sample with changed conditions and explicit review criteria. Credentials do not establish performed skills, job qualification or pay premiums; occupational salary context requires actual duties, geography, a named statistic and its date.
Where a guide supplies wage context, read the occupation, geography, reporting year and mapping limits. Occupational wages are not the salary of credential holders, a causal certification pay premium or an offer you should expect. If a reviewed role mapping or wage source is missing, the answer remains unknown.
Keep researching, get employer support or ask a short question
You can use these guides without contact. For an employer or team, start with the work outcome, current skills, schedule and delivery preference. An exact budget is not required to ask for help. A request permits Learnerside to reply; provider sharing requires separate consent naming the recipient.
