AB-410: choose learning for an intelligent business application

Use AB-410 to structure a low-code application, data and automation task. Compare public learning paths with the named course, then specify practice access and feedback before buying training.

Best fit
You need to design a business application with Dataverse, low-code tools and appropriate AI features.
Consider instead
Compare the developer credential when the requirement needs custom code, complex extensions or integrations beyond low-code configuration.
Before paying
Exact exam choice, access permissions, course revision, feedback, regional invoice and a seat need confirmation.
No-contact next step
Match a real application task to the outline, compare learning options and try the fictional design case before purchasing.

Check which credential and exam fit the task

Microsoft Certified: Intelligent Applications Builder Associate: Microsoft calls familiarity with Copilot, Dataverse, AI models and prompts, Power Fx, process mapping and governance prerequisites. These are knowledge and task expectations; no numeric employment duration or named prior-certification requirement was verified. The course’s broader entry audience does not prove exam readiness.

The AB-410 study guide presents the three families below. The current issuer title omits “beta”; the historical identifier in this page’s address is retained. That alone does not establish the exact general-availability date or your exam’s beta status. Check the exact exam record before scheduling.

The credential listing gives 120 minutes for the assessment and thirteen languages. It says the Practice Assessment is not currently available. A sandbox demonstrates an interface, not an available practice assessment or a fixed question-type distribution. No fixed question count was verified.

  • Create a foundation for intelligent applications: 25-30%
  • Create intelligent applications: 25-30%
  • Build business application logic and automation: 40-45%

Published ranges describe exam scope; they are not normalized readiness scores, exact question counts or hiring weights. Read the detailed issuer outline. Microsoft’s study guidance uses a passing scaled score of 700; this is not 70 percent correct or a practice-test target.

Registration, recommended preparation, course completion, a certification award and practical competence are different outcomes. No personal credential account, assessment or appointment was operated here.

Public scope and a task-focused first pass

Choose when: You need to identify a concrete application, data, integration or permission gap before paying.

Useful evidence: Read the official outline and the independently readable learning paths below. Choose a data, app, approval or AI-design task that actually meets the requirement.

Confirm first: Public reading does not supply a licensed tenant, Dataverse environment, AI capacity, connector rights, practice review or a bookable class. No product environment was operated.

AB-410T00-A: Build intelligent applications

Choose when: You understand business processes or app building and want structured instruction with review.

Useful evidence: Microsoft lists an intermediate, three-day course in thirteen languages for learners new to AI, copilots and agents in solution design. Its overview connects Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Copilot Studio and governance.

Confirm first: Detailed course-module titles were not readable in the reviewed response. The independently read paths below are not proof of the complete purchased syllabus. Confirm tenant and license access, capacity, learner-operated work, feedback, exact revision, tuition, voucher and seat.

Feedback on an original application design

Choose when: You need to practise a design decision and review its failure and permission boundaries.

Useful evidence: Use the fictional case below to specify what an instructor or mentor should review, including authority, data provenance, deterministic behavior and recovery.

Confirm first: No instructor, provider relationship, dated class, tuition or feedback entitlement is established. Confirm whether learners perform the work and receive individual review.

Try the fictional design case

Three independently reviewed learning paths

These are readable path outlines, not proof of the complete purchased AB-410 course syllabus. Their access prerequisites matter: confirm a permitted learning environment, accounts, licenses, capacity, connector rights and the feedback you need. Reading a free path does not make its product usage free.

Compare code-based developer learning using the implementation responsibility, rather than a salary promise or the word “AI” in a title.

Check costs, renewal and retired training references

The reviewed issuer pages make exam price regional; your exam amount was not verified. Separate exam and retakes, tuition, access expiry, tenant and license, Dataverse and AI capacity, connectors, instructor feedback and tax. Unknown is not zero. Course days are not verified contact hours or a preparation-time estimate.

Renewal evidence: Microsoft’s general associate policy describes annual renewal through a free online assessment. The exact AB-410 renewal page returned 404, so this does not establish your renewal window, personal access or an available AB-410 assessment. No renewal assessment was submitted. The public source does not establish your credential status, renewal window or entitlements.

Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate, PL-200 says the credential, exam and renewal assessments retired August 31, 2026; it can no longer be newly earned or renewed. The course retirement list separately lists PL-200T00 retirement July 31 with AB-410T00 as a replacement course. A replacement course is not proof that credentials or already earned awards are equivalent. The same list names PL-400T00 retirement October 30 and AB-400T00 as its replacement course.

Before payment, confirm the exact exam and effective outline, your existing knowledge, course code and revision, language and dates, learner-operated exercises, accounts and permissions, feedback, accessibility, recordings, voucher and retake terms, cancellation and final invoice. An announced course is not a verified current seat.

Connect learning to responsibilities and pay context

Data and app modeling, permission design, process analysis, problem solving and stakeholder communication can support some business-applications-consultant responsibilities. Low-code building does not demonstrate the full scope of every developer or consultant role. These are task associations, not a demonstration of an individual’s competence or a universal credential requirement.

A low-code or app-maker title alone does not identify a single occupation or salary. If actual duties involve software design, development or maintenance, BLS Software Developers, SOC 15-1252 is one possible occupational context. Its U.S. May 2025 median is not AB-410-holder earnings, entry pay or a credential premium. Choose a statistic only after checking actual responsibilities, experience and geography.

Try an original fictional permission and approval case

A fictional team wants a low-code application to request equipment loans. Requesters should see their own requests; approvers should see only the requests they can approve. An AI feature proposes a summary but cannot make the approval decision. Sketch the data model, role permissions, approval flow and the evidence that would show each boundary works.

Changed condition: An approver changes teams after a request is submitted, and a prompt-generated summary includes a restricted note. Explain how you would recheck authority, keep restricted data out of summaries and preserve a human decision and audit trail when the automation fails.

Review rubric: Trace each requirement to an app, table, permission or flow; separate suggested text from authoritative records; test positive and negative access cases, reassignment and failure handling. Define human review, data provenance and a reversible next step, then revise after feedback. This original fictional paper exercise is not an exam question, a readiness score or a claim of performed work. It requires no real account, deployment or customer data. Use only an authorized learning environment for later implementation.

Prepare a private employer training brief

Record the actual business requirement, intended implementation responsibility, relevant knowledge, exact exam and outline date, named course or path, safe practice access, feedback and unresolved invoice components. Ask for permission and review time for a suitable learning environment. Research and the private brief require no contact details.
