Detailed evidence, examples, and source notes
An honest, cited answer. We make no ROI, salary, placement, or 'worth it' claim, and we don't track live job demand — where we don't know, we say so.
For a new CySA+ study plan, use V4 / CS0-004. If you are already preparing for V3 / CS0-003, confirm the current retirement deadline for your exam language and a bookable appointment before committing. Our V3 dates below are August 23, 2026 observations, not a newly verified booking deadline.
The three dates in our earlier issuer check
CompTIA’s certification landing page checked on 2026-08-23 listed:
- November 22, 2026: English V3 learning-product retirement.
- December 22, 2026: English V3 exam retirement.
- March 23, 2027: V3 translation retirement.
These are different milestones. A learning-product retirement date does not establish how long an already-owned course stays accessible. An exam retirement date does not prove there is an appointment available to you. The October 10 review of the current V4 guide did not freshly verify these V3 dates; recheck the issuer before buying V3 materials or a voucher.
Starting now or already preparing for V3?
Starting now: choose objectives and materials explicitly aligned to V4 / CS0-004. The current CySA+ guide explains that version and its preparation requirements. Do not choose a V3 course just because an older retirement date appears to leave time.
Already preparing for V3: first check the exact code and language in your exam account, the issuer’s current deadline, and available appointments. Separately check your voucher expiry and any existing course-access terms. Continue with V3 only if those checks and your readiness support it; otherwise compare your remaining gaps with the V4 objectives before buying replacement training.
Check the code carefully: this answer concerns CS0-003, with a zero after CS. Do not apply these CySA+ dates to a code spelled CAS-003. Use the certification name and exact code shown by the issuer when scheduling.
What we don't know
We have not freshly confirmed the V3 retirement dates, language-specific appointment availability, your voucher expiry, or your existing learning-product access entitlement. These require current issuer or account-specific checks. Do not infer a bookable seat, continued access, or a voucher extension from our historical dates.
Your next step
Research first, then ask about the preparation decision if you need help. Include the exam code and language in your question; account identifiers and voucher numbers are not needed. The detailed planner is optional. Reply permission lets Learnerside respond to you; sharing with a named provider needs separate consent.
