Specify the target version, current credential mix, business process or service-management outcome, learner count, time zones and renewal expectations before asking for public seats or a private cohort.

Foundation is short, but the purchase still has several moving parts
PeopleCert lists the Version 5 Foundation exam as 40 multiple-choice questions, 60 minutes, closed book and a 65% passing score. The direct bundle includes the official eBook, exam voucher and Learning Resource Kit. Those facts do not establish how long a provider-led class runs, whether a retake is included or how long you have to redeem and schedule the exam.
For a non-native exam language or an accessibility need, confirm the exact approved accommodation and exam duration before choosing a session. A provider’s informal promise is not the same as a PeopleCert-approved exam arrangement.

Compare the complete bundle, not a training-only headline
PeopleCert displayed Version 5 Foundation purchase references of USD 690 for the exam bundle, USD 1,029 for eLearning and USD 1,338 for eLearning+ including VAT. The higher tiers add interactive learning; eLearning+ also advertises a free exam retake. These are dated direct-sale observations, not universal prices for accredited providers, employers or every location.
PeopleCert says rescheduling is free up to 48 hours before the exam. Its page displayed additional charges inside 48 hours, with a larger charge inside four hours. Recheck the exact country, currency, tax, voucher expiry, reschedule and cancellation terms at purchase.

Three Version 5 courses package the same exam differently
These are provider-published references checked September 12, 2026—not a ranking, current quote or seat confirmation. All three name Version 5 and include an exam voucher, but their duration, delivery chain and support differ.
ONLC: three days, USD 1,795
ONLC course XIL105 includes official Version 5 courseware, the eBook and exam voucher. The page says Deep Creek Center provides the course as a PeopleCert Accredited Training Organization. That means the public seller and authorized delivery organization are not necessarily the same entity.
The September outline listed no background prerequisite and described three-day Eastern-time calendars, with October 12–14 marked Early Notice. Those historical observations are not current enrollment permission or a guaranteed session. The October 7 body restricts Virginia enrollment to employer-sponsored students and says this course is not yet approved for New Hampshire residents. Its October calendar shows USD 1,795 before October 6 and USD 1,975 on or after October 6, so the September price is not the current October quote. Confirm ONLC’s legal seller, Deep Creek Center’s current ATO identity, instructor, seat, shipping or provisioning fees, voucher expiry and cancellation rules.
New Horizons: three days, USD 1,995
New Horizons course 300202188 publishes a three-day virtual instructor-led course, 21 PDUs and the Version 5 exam voucher. It recommends familiarity with IT, product, service or experience management. A separate USD 133 Membership+ option advertises one exam retake.
The page labels public dates Guaranteed to Run, but that does not establish a seat, instructor or immutable schedule. Confirm the contracting seller, exact delivering ATO, source time zone, voucher and Membership+ activation, free course-retake conditions, rescheduling and final price.
Learning Tree: two days, USD 2,515
Learning Tree course 1380 publishes a two-day live course with the exam voucher, one mock exam, Take2 retake option, one year of PeopleCert Plus membership for public enrollments, labs and after-course coaching. No specific experience is required.
The October 7 body names Version 5 but mixes older Service Value System and Service Value Chain terms with newer material; exact delivered syllabus consistency remains unresolved. Its Guaranteed-to-Run language also says delivery format may change. Confirm the buyer program, exact ATO and instructor, virtual versus location delivery, seat, membership activation, voucher and Take2 terms, coaching access, cancellation rules and total.
Compare the pace: ask how much actual teaching, practice and feedback each format includes, and whether it suits the starting level and available study time. More calendar days do not establish more instruction, spaced reflection or exam readiness.
Evidence boundary
The old ITIL 4 URL remains a research source, not the default recommendation
PeopleCert’s ITIL 4 Foundation page remained accessible when checked. Learnerside therefore does not call ITIL 4 withdrawn or invalid. It also does not treat an older course, book or voucher as interchangeable with Version 5. Confirm the credential you need with the employer or governing requirement and get the exact version in writing.
