AZ-700: Azure network training

Choose instruction for connecting environments, controlling traffic and diagnosing failures.

Both are optional. Use the research without contact or an assessment.

Who this path suits

Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate is earned through AZ-700. Microsoft recommends experience with Azure compute, storage and networking, plus addressing, name resolution and network protocols. These recommendations describe preparation; no mandatory prior certification was established in the reviewed Microsoft guidance. Confirm your personal booking requirements with Microsoft.

This path fits someone responsible for Azure network design or operations. A network engineer may need deeper Azure service experience; an Azure administrator may need stronger routing and hybrid connectivity skills. Choose instruction for that gap. Neither an AZ-104 nor a CCNA badge is established here as a compulsory stepping stone. If networking fundamentals are unfamiliar, discuss foundational instruction before purchasing an intermediate class.

Current exam scope

The official AZ-700 study guide labels its English skills as of July 27, 2026. Confirm your appointment language and version; Microsoft's approximate localization delay is not a guaranteed delivery date.

Exam areaPublished rangeExample work to discuss with an instructor
Core networking infrastructure25-30%Explain addressing, name resolution, routing and monitoring choices.
Connectivity services20-25%Compare hybrid connections and their failure dependencies.
Application delivery15-20%Choose traffic distribution and application access boundaries.
Private access10-15%Explain how a workload reaches a service without unintended public exposure.
Network security15-20%Define traffic controls and the evidence needed to diagnose a denied connection.

These ranges describe the exam, not a course syllabus, exact question counts or pass percentages. The work examples are Learnerside's paraphrased preparation suggestions. The credential page lists 100 assessment minutes, proctoring and possible interactive components. This is not total appointment duration, learning effort or a verified fixed question format. A concept check, practice score or attendance certificate cannot establish production competence.

The official course

AZ-700T00-A: Design and Implement Microsoft Azure Network Solutions

Best fit: Network engineers with enterprise networking and infrastructure/security experience.

Intermediate, three catalogue days. Public overview verified; detailed module and lab content unverified.

Before paying: Confirm selected tuition, seat, cloud charges, lab access, feedback and current exam alignment.

Course background and buying evidence

Course audience expects enterprise networking and on-premises or cloud infrastructure/security experience, with virtualization, TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewall, encryption, software-defined networking and resilience knowledge. Attendance background is separate from exam eligibility and personal readiness.

Intermediate official course overview, three catalogue days. Overview covers Azure network infrastructure, hybrid connections, load balancing and routing, private access, security and monitoring. Syllabus and skills controls remain loading placeholders; no detailed module, exercise or lab body recovered. Three days is not confirmed contact hours or personal preparation time. Selected edition and full July 27 exam alignment, seller, tuition, seat, schedule, lab entitlement, Azure subscription and usage charges, feedback, recordings, voucher and completion terms remain unknown. No account, enrollment, exercise or purchase operated.

AZ-700T00-A: Design and Implement Microsoft Azure Network Solutions is intermediate instruction with three catalogue days. The recovered overview covers Azure network infrastructure, hybrid connections, load balancing and routing, private access, security and monitoring.

Its intended audience brings enterprise networking and on-premises or cloud infrastructure/security experience. Starting knowledge includes virtualization, TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, encryption, software-defined networking and resilience. This course background differs from exam eligibility and your own readiness.

The public page links instructor-led and self-paced preparation. Only the public course overview was verified; detailed module and lab content remains unverified. The overview does not prove complete alignment to every July 27 exam objective, guaranteed lab access or a bookable class. Three catalogue days is neither confirmed contact hours nor a personal preparation-time estimate.

Before choosing a delivery, confirm the exact course revision, schedule and time zone, tuition, learner-created work, lab environment, Azure subscription and usage charges, instructor feedback, accessibility, recordings, cancellation terms and any voucher. Selected seller, seat, price, practice entitlement, feedback and complete exam alignment remain unknown. A listing or Microsoft branding alone does not establish those terms.

Choose an approach

Use the official study guide to identify your work gaps. Its objectives are a reference, not taught lessons. The credential page also links preparation and a Practice Assessment; the exam-interface sandbox demonstrates the assessment interface. Those tools do not establish a purchased training lab, a furnished Azure tenant or personal feedback.

Self-directed learning may suit a specific service gap when you can evaluate your own work. Scheduled instruction may suit a team needing guided networking decisions and instructor critique. Ask for evidence of the work you will produce and the feedback you will receive. Public reading does not imply free cloud consumption; obtain permission and a cost boundary for any practical environment.

You can describe the network task and preferred format immediately. An exercise, readiness quiz or employer approval is not required to ask for help. Submission does not authorize provider sharing; that needs separate consent naming the recipient.

An optional fictional network design

An invented company has a headquarters, two branches and an Azure application. Its fictional requirements are private access to application data, separation of administrative traffic, continued branch access after a single connection failure and an explanation of recovery dependencies. These are exercise assumptions, not vendor guarantees.

On paper, draw two alternatives. Mark address ranges, name resolution, routing boundaries, connection dependencies and traffic controls. Explain how you would observe a failure, distinguish a routing problem from an access rule, test recovery and reverse a change. Write down the assumptions you would need to verify before implementation.

Ask an instructor or colleague to challenge the design against those requirements. This original exercise requires no account, real tenant, personal data or spending. A paper design is useful discussion material; it does not prove secure or reliable operation in production.

Budget, renewal and employer support

Microsoft sets exam price by the country or region where it is proctored. No current numeric regional exam fee is verified here. Separate the exam, tuition, cloud practice, optional lab subscription, retakes and staff time; unknown items are not zero. Obtain the actual checkout and selected training terms before committing a budget.

Under the Microsoft renewal policy, role-based certifications expire annually. Eligible holders may take the free online open-book renewal assessment during the six months before expiry. Passing before expiry extends the credential by one year from its expiry date. Check your personal record and dates. Free renewal does not make the initial exam, training or cloud practice free.

For employer support, name the network task, the course background you already have, the work sample to review, access requirements and the unknown budget items. Create a private AZ-700 training brief without contacting a provider.

Roles, salary and evidence limits

Azure network engineering can involve connectivity design, routing, application access, monitoring, troubleshooting and collaboration with security and platform administrators. These are defensible task connections, not guaranteed job titles, promotion or certification earnings.

No verified occupational salary figure is available here; certification-specific earnings remain unknown. A network architect occupation would also cover broader work than this credential.

Learnerside is independent of Microsoft. The fictional design is original educational material, not an exam question or a readiness score. No current seat, provider endorsement or earned credential is claimed.
