MD-102: choose learning for endpoint management with Intune
Choose this scope for device deployment, policy, updates, applications and endpoint protection in a Microsoft 365 environment. Decide which operating systems, management permissions and recovery tasks you actually need to practise before choosing a class.
Best fit
You already manage, or are preparing to manage, Windows and other endpoints with Intune and Microsoft Entra ID.
Consider instead
If enrollment, identity or Windows administration is unfamiliar, establish that foundation before treating this intermediate course as a starting point.
Before paying
Current detailed exam scope, regional invoice, course seat and personal product access require confirmation. Recommended background, personal eligibility and readiness are separate.
No-contact next step
Inspect the named training outlines, try the fictional case and define the practice and feedback you need.
Match the current credential to your task
Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate is listed with MD-102: 100 minutes, proctored delivery and possible interactive components. Fixed question count and type distribution were not verified. Listed languages: English, Chinese (Simplified), German, Spanish, French, Japanese and Portuguese (Brazil). Personal appointment conditions and language-specific scope remain separate.
Recommended Entra ID/Microsoft365/Intune and Windows/non-Windows deployment/configuration/maintenance experience; SecurityCopilot/Intuneagents/DefenderXDR understanding. Course audience expects tenant device/clientapp administration expertise; not personal eligibility or zero years.
Upcoming English scope — October 27, 2026:the study guide retrieved for this review labels its detailed objectives as effective on that date. A complete current before-date detailed outline was not recovered. The families below describe the announced upcoming scope; ask the issuer and training seller which version your appointment and course cover.
Prepare infrastructure for devices: 20-25%
Manage and maintain devices: 25-30%
Protect devices: 15-20%
Manage and secure applications: 15-20%
Optimize endpoint operations by using automation, monitoring, and reporting: 10-15%
Published ranges are not midpoint scores or normalized readiness weights. The study guide’s 700 passing-score threshold is not a percentage of questions correct. Do not treat a course title or attendance as complete coverage or a pass prediction.

Named Microsoft Learn preparation resources
Choose when: You want to inspect relevant material and study independently before identifying the task you cannot yet perform.
Useful evidence: The eight-unit Entra device identity module distinguishes registration, join and hybrid join, device trust and troubleshooting. The four-module Intune management path covers profiles and policies, monitoring and remediation, Windows updates and lifecycle, and troubleshooting. It recommends Intune enrollment and Entra groups knowledge plus the infrastructure path or equivalent experience. An older profiles path redirects to this updated path.
Confirm first: Specify an authorized learning tenant, administrator permissions, test devices or virtual machines, operating systems, Intune and any Suite, Defender, Copilot or cloud-desktop features the exercises use. Public reading does not supply those entitlements or verify your ability to change a tenant.
MD-102T00-A: Manage and secure Microsoft 365 endpoints by using Intune
Choose when: You need guided explanation, learner-operated exercises or review of a specific administration gap.
Useful evidence: The official catalog is Intermediate, English and 5 days, with self-paced and instructor-led preparation. The detailed module syllabus did not render in the retrieved catalog. The duration is not your preparation time, verified live contact hours, a scheduled seat or included lab access.
Confirm first: Ask for the exact syllabus and version, dates/time zone/live hours, tenant and permissions, learner-operated exercises, feedback, recordings and access expiry, accessibility, voucher/retake terms, taxes, cancellation terms and final invoice.
Microsoft Learn describes its content as free; this does not establish a free class, license or working lab. No learner account, tenant, practice assessment or exercise was operated. Module achievements and course attendance do not establish certification or workplace performance.
Verify the invoice and renewal separately
The exam price depends on the proctoring country or region; no numeric quote was retrieved. Separate tuition, tax, attempt and voucher/retake conditions from tenant, product, device and voice costs. Unknown is not zero. A public catalog does not establish a scheduled seat or a total purchase price.
Specific renewal listing: The credential lists a 12-month renewal frequency. Its specific renewal page says existing holders within six months of expiry are eligible to renew; the general policy describes a free online assessment and a one-year extension. Personal profile, expiry and assessment access were not operated. The Endpoint renewal page separately announces an English renewal-assessment update on August 21, 2026; renewal assessment scope is distinct from the initial exam. Free renewal is separate from the initial exam and learning purchases.
Skills, role fit and occupational pay context
Windows administration, policy diagnosis, security fundamentals and troubleshooting can support endpoint or systems-administration duties. These are task associations, not demonstrated skills or a universal qualification for a junior systems administrator title.
If your actual work fits network or systems administration, BLS Network and Computer Systems Administrators, SOC 15-1244 reports USD 99,130 median annual pay, United States, May 2025. Conditional occupation context when actual duties fit network or systems administration. This is not credential-holder earnings, entry-level pay, a certification premium, or a universal Endpoint or Teams administrator salary. Use actual duties and location before selecting occupational statistics; a Teams support task alone is insufficient.
Try an original fictional endpoint change and recovery case
A fictional 80-person design studio wants a staged Windows update and application-policy change. Ten invented devices are in the pilot group; two are personally owned and one reports conflicting profiles. Write a change plan identifying ownership, targeting, permissions, baseline evidence and success criteria, with no actual tenant changes.
Changed condition: The pilot includes an unintended device and one approved application stops working. Explain how you would distinguish enrollment, group or filter targeting, configuration conflict and application failures. Define a safe pause, recovery evidence and a rollback decision before widening the change.
Review rubric: Explicit target population and ownership, least-privilege change authority, observable policy and device evidence, a plausible fault-isolation sequence, a staged recovery and a reasoned approval. A green dashboard alone is insufficient. This fictional exercise is not an exam question, hiring assessment or readiness score. Use invented data and authorized learning access; keep confidential tenant details and credentials out of it.
Prepare the training decision
Record the actual task, platform and version, safe sample, missing feedback, access requirements and unresolved purchase questions. Research and a private employer brief need no contact details.
